Greetings.
After doing the preliminary initializations suggested, the display of gauges takes place for a moment including a reasonable instant MPG result. But then, in the next moment, the OBD Initialization popup appears and does a warm-reset based on the data in the initodb file (or is it initobd?)
After the reset, the dialog box disappears, and more calculation results are being displayed. And then in the next moment, the OBD initialization popup appears again, and again, until, after the 5th or 6th time, the program ends.
The protocol used is ISO 15765-4 CAN (11 bit ID, 500kBaud) protocol (Ford Fusion '06)...
but after reading the ELM327.pdf sheet found on
www.elmelectronics.com , i'm discovering the device must be set with certain defaults active...
Because the device is from China, it's not clear if it is adhering to the ELM327 defaults or not.
With that being the case, what device settings is WinODB assuming are active/inactive? ...or is it finding out what is set every time it initializes?
If WinODB is making some assumptions (which is causing it to re-initialize the ELM327 device), what are they? (i.e. AT S0 or S1?, L0 or L1?, etc...)
Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
